Thane's second catalogue for 1773 of a most curious and valuable collection of prints, drawings, books, books of prints : illuminated missals, antient manuscripts, deeds and rolls, coins, medals, and antiquities, and other curiosities, the whole collected with great care and expence, out of the cabinets of the late Mr. West, and others. The collection consists of the finest impressions of historical and other prints, both ancient and modern, by Marc Antonio, Rubens, Rembrandt, Raphael VanDyke, Mic. Angelo, Albert Durer, Hollar, etc. etc. etc. Aa also a great number of the finest foreign portraits, by Drevet, Edelinck, Nantueil, etc. etc. likewise several hundred English portraits, including many of the scarcest by Faithorne, White, Hollar, Cross, Pass, etc. etc. and many other fine English portraits in metzotinto, by Smith, Faber, M'Ardel, Becket, etc. The books are chiefly early printed, and on antiquities, coins, medals, etc. including several hundred scarce tracts and plays.
