On Tuesday the 19th day of July, 1774, the inhabitants of the City of New York met at the Coffee-House, in consequence of a printed notification issued by order of the Committee of Correspondence ... [and elected fifteen persons to draw up constitutional resolves, declarative of the rights of british subjects in America.] At a meeting of the committee ... at the house of Thomas Doran, inn-keeper, in the said city, the 20th day of July, 1774 presents [ten members, five declining] They prepared the following resolves, for the consideration of their fellow citizens: [Thirteen resolves and an order for publishing and a call for a meeting at City-Hall, Monday, the 25th of July] | |
